On the slopes of the Erzgebirge there are small houses all the way up the hills. Since the 19th century there have been created loving crafts for burning smoked goods, the smoking manikin. Following this tradition, Julia Andratschke manufactures incense- and wooden houses made of local lime and birch wood. The cleavage of the wood remains visible and makes each cottage a unique piece. The facades are painted by hand with natural products such as shellac or beeswax and are partially gilded.
The cans and caskets for storage also maintain the living wood structure and are gently closed with sunk magnets.
It stores jewelery and other treasures such as salt, sugar or spices in the kitchen or office supplies at the desk.
